About Raydium (RAY)
What Is Raydium (RAY)?
Raydium (RAY) is an automated market maker (AMM) platform on the Solana (SOL) blockchain. It leverages the order book trading system of another Solana-based DeFi protocol, Serum (SRM), and provides on-chain liquidity to it. This connects the order flow and liquidity of Raydium and Serum, giving users access to both DeFi protocols.
Thanks to its access to Serum’s ecosystem, Raydium is a platform that can offer both of the dominant crypto trading models — AMM and order book. Raydium isn’t simply a DEX for token swaps. It’s a comprehensive DeFi platform, with a complete set of popular services — swaps, liquidity pools, yield farms, staking and even an NFT marketplace. Raydium’s NFT marketplace was launched in partnership with Magic Eden, the largest Solana-based NFT platform. Items listed on Magic Eden are cross-listed on the Raydium NFT marketplace.
Raydium’s native crypto token is RAY. It’s based on SPL, Solana’s default standard for fungible cryptocurrencies.
