About Step App (FITFI)

What Is Step App (FITFI)?

Step App is a move-to-earn project combining metaverse and augmented reality (AR) technology centered around the Step Protocol created by FitFi (Fitness Finance).In the Step App project, users and the avatars with which they're paired complete PvP (player-vs.-player) challenges and fitness quests. The users are incentivized to perform regular exercise and physical activity, as their avatars will grow in the metaverse with every exercise achievement unlocked and receive exclusive NFT drops. 

The AR technology in the Step App is designed to bridge the real world with the gamified metaverse. This allows fitness to be converted into a more social experience as people connect in their fitness journey. Users who download the Step App earn rewards by running, walking, chatting, competing with other users and exploring the metaverse. Step App also features an NFT marketplace for NFT trades.

FITFI Price

Although the Step App FITFI project was developed in late 2021, the token didn't launch until April 2022. The initial Step App price was $0.286, with a daily trading volume of more than $187 million. However, in just a few days, the token increased rapidly in value before reaching a high of $0.73 on May 5. At this time, the daily trading volume hit a peak of $365 million.

However, the high Step App price was unable to hold, dropping sharply just two days after its peak. By May 11, FITFI’s price fell to around $0.158 before rebounding slightly. Over the next few months, the token settled in at a price ranging from $0.05 to $0.11.

A gradual but prolonged decline has occurred ever since, with just a few notable spikes. In late November, the token increased in value from $0.03 on Nov 26 to $0.04 on Nov 30. Another small jolt in the Step App price occurred in early December, when it increased from $0.0328 on Dec 6 to $0.0466 on Dec 9. By the end of December, however, Step App’s price had fallen to around $0.02, with its declining price trend continuing in 2023. In March 2023, FITFI is trading at approximately $0.015. 

What Is FITFI Used For?

Step App is driven by a dual-token economy, with FITFI as the governance token and KCAL as its ecosystem and in-game token. FITFI tokens fuel the Step App economy, and are used to pay ecosystem fees for buybacks, burns, locks, staking, and liquidity rewards. FITFI tokens are also required to make your first NFT purchase to start your fitness journey.

FITFI Tokenomics

According to Step App's litepaper, FITFI has a max supply of 5 billion. Its supply is allocated as follows:

  • 30% — Mining, move-to-earn

  • 20% — Staking, liquidity and incentives

  • 15% — Team

  • 14% — Public sale

  • 15% — Marketing, acquisitions and licenses

  • 6% — Partners, advisors and consultants
