What Is StrongBlock (STRONG)?

StrongBlock is a blockchain platform that prioritizes offering users Nodes as a Service (NaaS) to reward blockchain node operators via STRONG tokens.

NaaS allows people to create a full Ethereum 1.0 node in just a few minutes. StrongBlock handles all the hosting and other necessities in exchange for a deposit of STRONG tokens.
This unique NaaS feature makes StrongBlock one of the most useful crypto options on the market. You don't need fancy equipment and extensive technical skills to run nodes on the Ethereum network. Instead, the StrongBlock network automates the process for you, so you can focus on using the nodes to earn funds.
StrongBlock is currently in the process of upgrading its system to StrongChain, a new Layer 1, EMV-compatible proof-of-authority (PoA) blockchain protocol. With this move, StrongBlock aims to reduce Ethereum gas fees and make StrongBlock nodes more sustainable. In addition to offering nodes, StrongChain is also a community-centric blockchain that seeks to incentivize the entire ecosystem by making the Validator and Delegation fee and reward system available to all.

As part of this move, StrongBlock will upgrade the StrongBlock STRONG token to the STRNGR token. This"Strong to Stronger" upgrade lets all STRONG holders swap out their tokens in a one-to-one switch. Even if you’re holding STRONG tokens outside of the StrongBlock nodes system, you can use a Uniswap pool to manually upgrade your tokens.

StrongBlock Price

StrongBlock (STRONG) was first released in August 2020 and sold for $206.47. Within the first few weeks of release, its price dropped to $140. However, the coin rose back above $200 by late August and maintained its price in the mid-$200s through September.

Though the StrongBlock project had a promising start, STRONG token prices suddenly plummeted in late 2020, with prices as low as $16. However, following the announcement of a massive token burn in early November 2020, STRONG started to pick up steam, peaking at around $60 on Nov 22. The STRONG token price then declined after this small peak, falling back to a support level of $16 by January 2021.

Yet, it was also in early 2021 when three separate STRONG price peaks appeared. STRONG first rose to $94 in February, then $191 in April and $288 in July. Having finally recovered its initial value, STRONG’s price skyrocketed, more than tripling to $630 by September 2021.

On Oct 29, 2021, STRONG reached its all-time high of $1,217.44. This incredible move from $16 to $1,217 in less than a year attracted much attention. People continued wildly trading STRONG, which remained above $600 well into January 2022.

Unfortunately, buzz about the new "Strong to Stronger" upgrade cast doubt on the token's value. Following the official announcement about discontinuing STRONG, StrongBlock’s price dipped under $40 on Apr 11, 2022. The crypto crash brought about by the LUNA Terra downfall further escalated the downtrend, dropping STRONG to below $10 in the second half of 2022.

In early 2023, there were some minor fluctuations in the price of STRONG. After hovering around $6 for months, STRONG increased to $16.40 on Mar 7, 2023 before gradually declining to around $8.50 by late March.

What Is STRONG Used For?

STRONG was initially used for managing the NaaS system on the Ethereum blockchain. Users needed to first deposit 10 STRONG tokens to create nodes to mine and earn STRONG, which was used as a reward token for node operators as well. The final use for STRONG is governance. StrongBlock has a decentralized governance protocol that lets users propose and vote on alterations to the project.
However, keep in mind that StrongBlock STRONG has none of these uses now. The StrongBlock community has switched entirely to STRNGR. Currently, the primary use for STRONG is simply upgrading to STRNGR. 

StrongBlock Tokenomics

STRONG is an Ethereum-based ERC-20 token. It originally had a max supply of 10 million tokens. However, 94.7% of these tokens were burned to help develop the system's tokenomics. Therefore, the current max supply and total supply are 528,886. STRONG tokens are distributed as follows:

• StrongBlock shareholders: 96,784.62 STRONG 

• StrongBlock developers: 101,735.81 STRONG

Who Is the Founder of StrongBlock?

StrongBlock's founder and current CEO is David Moss, who was previously the Senior Vice President at block.one LLC, and was involved in the development of the EOS.IO blockchain.
