Bybit Gains ISO 27001 Certification – Compliance, Risk Management, and Efficiency Enhanced
May 25, 2023

Bybit, the world’s third most visited crypto exchange, has successfully obtained the ISO 27001:2013 certification for its robust security management system. This certification underscores Bybit's dedication to next-level reliability by achieving this elite level of security and efficiency.

The ISO 27001:2013 certificate is a globally recognized standard, which enables organizations to meet various regulatory and standard requirements while demonstrating their commitment to information security. Bybit's attainment of the certification — which begins May 18, 2023 — underscores the exchange’s track record of trendsetting new standards of safety, security, and transparency.

In particular, the ISO 27001:2013 certificate drills down into a company’s information security management. Bybit's adherence to this standard ensures compliance with regulatory and industry requirements and proves its best practices in safeguarding information assets.

Furthermore, by applying standards found in the ISO 27001:2013 structure, Bybit is equipped to identify, assess, and respond to potential security risks, significantly increasing the likelihood that Bybit will maintain its clean record of never suffering a hack or major security incident.

“This certification is a testament to our dedication to providing our customers with the highest level of security possible,” said Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit. “We are committed to protecting our client’s funds via industry-leading cold wallet and independent custody solutions. Furthermore, our prudent management has seen us grow our user base by 50% despite industry-wide headwinds. This certification inspires us to continue to provide next-level opportunities to our large base of institutional and retail clients.”
