The theme of the hackathon is AI-City Quest 2024, with a total prize pool of 27,000 AED. In this challenge, we delve into the realm of smart cities and explore how emerging technologies are shaping the urban landscape. The pivotal aspect we focus on in this challenge is peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading using blockchain technology. Throughout this quest, students will have to utilize their skills and knowledge in AI, GIS, and blockchain to overcome these issues and come up with appropriate solutions as they navigate through the forefront of innovation in urban sustainability.

April 20th is the competition day for the hackathon, and before that day, Bybit has scheduled a Hackathon Bootcamp, where we have invited three instructors to provide guidance. They are Yun Han Wong (YH), Web 3 Lead at Moledao and Community Advocate at Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA); Neil Han, the Founder & CEO of Reddio, guest lecturer for NTU blockchain course and the President of TGO Singapore (Top Geeks' Organization, CTO Club); and Matthias, the investor and founder of CoinRock Ventures.

When we asked YH why BGA strongly supports the event, she said, "BGA's vision is 'Care, Create, Change.' At BGA, we believe in the transformative potential of blockchain technology to address some of the most pressing changes facing our society, and that’s why we support the event, because we share the same vision."

MK, mentor representative by Bybit Web3, expressed her enthusiasm for the event: "Innovation springs from academic campuses. As a leader in the cryptocurrency industry and the Crypto Ark, we are proud to support this venture that aligns innovation with social impact."

The AUS Hackathon Bootcamp with Bybit Web3 and BGA marks a significant step towards fostering innovation and collaboration in the realm of emerging technologies and urban sustainability. As we approach the competition day on April 20th, we are excited to witness the creative solutions and ideas that participants will bring forth to tackle the challenges posed by the AI-City Quest 2024.
