How to Bind Your Account’s 2FA via Google Authenticator

Bind 2FA via Google Authenticator using PC/Desktop

Note:
1) It is highly recommended that a copy of your Recovery Key Phrase is stored securely. RKP is needed when you attempt to bind into a new Google Authenticator.
2) To ensure maximum account and asset security, Bybit urges all traders to have their 2FA binded to their Google Authenticator at all times.
Step 1: Click on the link above to enter your account's security settings page. Perform a login if prompted. Click on the 'Settings' button as shown below.
Step 2: Click on 'Send verification code'
Step 3: A verification code will be sent to either your registered email address or registered mobile number. Key into the empty boxes and click 'Confirm'. A pop out window showing a QR code will appear. Leave it untouched first while you use your smartphone to download the Google Authenticator APP.

Step 4: Download the official Google Authenticator APP from Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Step 5: Launch the Google Authenticator app inside your smartphone or tablet. Select the '+' icon and select 'Scan a QR code'
Step 6: Scan the QR code and a 6 digit 2FA code will be randomly generated inside your Google Authenticator APP.
Step 7: Write down the Recovery Key Phrase (RKP). Store your RKP securely inside an encrypted cloud server or inside another secured device.
Step 8: Key in the 6 digit code generated in your Google Authenticator and click 'Confirm'

You have successfully binded your Google Authenticator to your account.
Bind 2FA via Google Authenticator using APP
Note:

2) To ensure maximum account and asset security, Bybit urges all traders to have their 2FA binded to their Google Authenticator at all times.
Step 1: Launch the Bybit APP. At the bottom left corner, select 'Home’. Then, Select the ‘profile’ icon from the upper left corner.
Step 2: Select 'Security'
Step 3: Beside Google Authentication, slide the white circle switch to the right
Step 4: Key in the email/SMS verification code sent to your email address or mobile number respectively. The APP will automatically redirect you to the next page.

Step 5: Download the official Google Authenticator APP from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once you have downloaded it, select 'Continue' to proceed.
Step 6: Write down the Recovery Key Phrase (RKP) and store it securely inside an encrypted cloud server or inside another secured device. Press 'Copy key'
Step 7: Launch the Google Authenticator app inside your smartphone or tablet. Select the '+' icon and select ‘enter a setup key’
Step 8: Type in any unique name (e.g. Bybit - followed by your registered email address), paste the copied key into the ' key' blank space and select 'ADD'. A 6 digit code will be generated successfully in your Google Authenticator.
Step 9: Go back into your Bybit APP, select 'Next'
Step 10: Key in the 6 digit code generated in your Google Authenticator and select 'Confirm'
