Trading Hour and Time in Force

To provide greater flexibility when placing stocks orders, Bybit supports Regular Trading Hours and 24-Hour Trading, together with Day and Good-Til-Canceled (GTC) time-in-force options.

Stocks Trading Sessions

Stocks trading is divided into the following sessions:

Trading Sessions

Hours - Eastern Time (ET)

Pre-Market

4:00AM – 9:30AM

Market Open (Regular Trading Hours)

9:30AM – 4:00PM

Post-Market

4:00PM – 8:00PM

Overnight

8:00PM – 4:00AM

Weekend Closure

Friday, 8:00PM – Sunday, 8:00PM

Note: Market orders can only be executed during Regular Trading Hours. Market orders placed outside Regular Trading Hours are queued and will execute at the next market open, at a price that may differ significantly from the previous close.

All times above are based on Eastern Time (ET), which observes daylight saving time. The trading page automatically converts the session times to your local time.

Trading outside Regular Trading Hours carries additional risks, including lower liquidity, wider spreads, higher volatility and prices that may differ from those in the regular session. Trading may also be unavailable during market holidays, trading halts, weekend closures, or for stocks that do not support overnight trading.

Trading Hours

  1. Regular Trading Hours: Orders can only be executed during the regular session from 9:30AM to 4PM ET.
  2. 24-Hour Trading: Orders can be executed during the Overnight, Pre-Market, Regular Trading Hours, and Post-Market sessions.

Time in Force

Time in Force determines how long an unfilled order remains active:

  1. Day: The order remains active until the end of the applicable trading day (8PM ET).
  2. Good-Till-Canceled (GTC): The order remains active across trading days until it is filled, canceled, or expires. A Good-Till-Canceled (GTC) order remains active for up to 90 days unless it is filled or canceled earlier.

The selected Trading Hours and Time in Force work together as follows:

Trading Hours

Time in Force

Order Behavior

Regular Trading Hours

Day

The order can only be executed during regular trading hours and will be canceled after the market closes if unfilled.

Regular Trading Hours

GTC

The order remains active across trading days until filled, canceled, or expired, but can only be executed during regular trading hours.

24-Hour Trading

Day

The order can be executed during supported overnight, pre-market, regular, and after-hours sessions. Any unfilled portion will be canceled at the end of the applicable trading day (8PM ET).

24-Hour Trading

GTC

The order remains active across trading days and can be executed during all supported trading sessions until filled, canceled, or expired.

Note: Selecting GTC does not automatically enable 24-hour execution. The order can only be executed during the selected trading hours.

Fees

Bybit does not charge a trading commission for Stocks Trading. However, a service fee of 10 basis points (BPS), or 0.1% of the executed order value, applies, subject to a minimum fee equivalent to USDC 0.35 per order.

For orders valued below USD 350, the minimum service fee of USDC 0.35 will apply.

The estimated service fee will be reserved when the order is placed and deducted separately from the order value upon execution.

Fee Formula

Fee = Filled Quantity x Filled Price x Fee Rate (minimum 0.35 USDC per order)

Trading Limits

  1. Minimum Order Value: 5 USDC
  2. Maximum Order Value: 1,000,000 USDC
  3. Maximum Number of Active Orders: 200
  4. Maximum Position Value holding per User: 1,000,000 USDC

— Corporate actions may result in temporary trading restrictions, order cancellations, or delays in displaying the adjusted shares or stock information.

— Fractional entitlements may be rounded, retained as fractional shares, or settled in cash, depending on the event terms and the handling rules of the broker.

— Taxes, withholding, processing fees, or other deductions may apply to certain corporate actions.
